The food and service at Prost was amazing and very reasonably priced. The service was excellent and very accommodating, bringing us different sauces for our fries and always being ready and available. We enjoyed an outdoor sit without wait. The Honey Bee cocktail was one of my favorite specialty cocktails I've tried so far, I normally don't like Honey but was very interested in the White Peach and Rosemary flavors. It did not disappoint and the honey did not overpower the drink, like I usually find. Our shared plate was the Prosciutto with Burrata and Arugula. I was impressed by the portions of cheese and meat, but underwhelmed by the 6 pieces of bread it was served with and found the Arugula to be more bitter and off tasting than it's normal peppery flavor. Now the star of the show and reason we came, the Connecticut Lobster Roll. The bread this was served on was phenomenal, almost reminded me of a fancier piece of garlic Texas toast with a much more buttery and light texture. Wow. The Lobster was sweet and tender. The three of us all finished our entire sandwiches and loved dipping our sandwiches in a side of the Garlic Aioli that's also on the sandwich itself!
It was my first time to Prost and I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and friendly service. They have a great selection of food, which you won't find anywhere else in Bay City. I wanted to keep it simple and so I tried the Lobster Roll with a side salad. It was perfect. Definitely a return visit next time I am in town.
Having visited the Frankenmuth location a handful of times, really wanted to try the Bay City location. We visited for the first time last weekend and it was really delightful! I loved the outdoor seating during the summer! It felt great to sit outside with the lights. I ordered the avocado lobster salad, which honestly was fantastic and a surprise hit. The avocado gave the lobster a really nice mouth feel texture, and the greens were super fresh. Also ordered the brie grape crostinis, Spanish potatoes, and the husband had a Reuben sandwich. The potatoes are a huge portion of appetizers and fit for more of a party of 4 or 5. We definitely over ordered. Also had a ginger beer and a coconut tropical Moscow mule. Overall great vibes, great food, and great service. Happy to recommend this place and come back again!
I feel bad for giving them three stars because the food was incredible and the staff was wonderful. But that place has terrible acoustics and it was painfully loud from people talking. We even switched tables to the indoor patio area and it was no better. It seems well suited for an after-work party, but not for date night if you actually want to talk to your date. We had reservations for Sunday brunch, but canceled them because it was too uncomfortable. If they fixed the acoustics, I would give this place six stars! UPDATE: One of the owners sent a timely and cordial response, so I have to raise them up to 4 stars for really caring!
Beautiful decor. Wonderful staff! Good Happy hour and wine and drinks fantastic! They have a small room for events beautifully decorated with bottles of wine! So cute! Great for after work to wine down, date night, or girls gathering.
Brought my party of three and we all enjoyed ourselves. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana sandwich with parm fries. I'd give it a 6 out of 10. The chicken was too thin and dry. At the Frankenmuth location I did have the meatball hoagie which was 10/10 so I was hoping it would have been at that level. My other guest ordered the French Dip and I had a few bites and it was incredible! Definitely give it a 10/10. The others had a charcuterie board and a club and all gave it high remarks. The service was amazing and I'm bummed out that I don't have a name to publicly praise her. She was patient, helpful, attentive and our glasses were always full and she was a super star. No doubt I'll be back again.
Great food, drinks and service. Wait staff is very friendly and courteous. The outdoor patio is beautiful day and night.
A terrific second location for this wine bar. I like this one even better than Frankenmuth. It seems a bit bigger. They have a charcuterie board that is called the Bay City that is fantastic and they don't have that one at Frankenmuth. I had to quit, was a little bit disappointing but I can't say it was bad Just not very flavorful But not everything is always gonna be excellent and other things on the menu sounded fabulous. server was amazing. This is outstanding choice.
